Special zeolite for water purification is densely packed with micropores and has a large specific surface area. Like a sponge, it captures suspended particles, sediment, odor molecules and other substances in water, rapidly improving water clarity without any chemical changes.
Meanwhile, the zeolite lattice is negatively charged, and the cations adsorbed inside can be exchanged with harmful ions such as heavy metals, calcium and magnesium in water. This not only removes harmful substances, but also softens water, reduces scale and improves drinking water taste. The removal rate of heavy metals exceeds 95%.
Production Process
Purification Principle
It mainly adopts high-purity natural clinoptilolite (the most adsorptive category among natural zeolites), a natural aluminosilicate mineral formed from volcanic lava. It appears light-colored, such as flesh red and grayish white. Its main chemical components are SiO₂ (68–71%), Al₂O₃ (13–14%), together with a small amount of beneficial minerals including Fe₂O₃, CaO and MgO. Its ammonia adsorption value is no less than 100 mg equivalent/100 g.
Featuring a naturally formed porous framework crystal structure, it requires no chemical modification. It is naturally equipped with dense micropores (with pore sizes concentrated at 0.3–1.0 nm) and a high porosity of 40%–50%, serving as the key carrier for physical adsorption [1][2]. It is mainly responsible for primary purification, intercepting macromolecular impurities in water and adsorbing some small-molecular odor substances.
Meanwhile, it possesses excellent ion-exchange properties to efficiently exchange heavy metals, calcium and magnesium ions, making it suitable for water environments with more complex pollution. It is mainly used for advanced purification by removing harmful ions in water and achieving water softening.

Granular Zeolite (Mainstream Size, Suitable for Most Water Purification Scenarios)
0.5–2.0 mm:
Suitable for household pre-filters and small water purifiers. It features low water flow resistance, balancing purification efficiency and water output rate. Ideal for daily household drinking water purification; it is the preferred size for residential use.
2–4 mm:
Suitable for household central water purifiers and small industrial wastewater treatment equipment. Wear-resistant and not easy to pulverize, with sufficient adsorption capacity for long-term use. Suitable for moderately polluted water.
4–8 mm:
Suitable for municipal water purification, large-scale industrial water treatment equipment and pre-treatment of aquaculture ponds. High water permeability, mainly used for primary interception of macromolecular impurities. Often used together with fine-grained zeolite.
Powdered Zeolite (For Special Applications)
60–200 mesh:
Mainly used for water quality improvement in aquaculture (e.g., shrimp nursery ponds, fish ponds) and fine wastewater treatment. It has a large specific surface area and fast adsorption speed, enabling rapid removal of ammonia nitrogen and heavy metals from water. Among them, 180–200 mesh is suitable for high-precision water purification.
