What is coal-based pellet activated carbon?

Yihang coal-based pellet activated carbon is made from high-quality anthracite as the raw material. It is processed through crushing, batching, extrusion molding, carbonization, high-temperature steam activation, and sieving refinement. The product appears as black cylindrical particles. The product has a rich internal microporous and mesoporous structure, a large specific surface area, high mechanical strength, is not prone to powdering, has low ash content, excellent adsorption capacity, is resistant to acid and alkali, can withstand high temperatures, has low fluid resistance, and can be pressure-loaded. It is suitable for fixed-bed adsorption devices and can be washed and regenerated for repeated use. It is the mainstream adsorption consumable in water treatment, waste gas treatment, chemical purification, solvent recovery.

1. Air purification & Waste Gas Treatment (Core Application)

As the core application of this product, the carbon features high mechanical strength and balanced pore structure. It fits well for filling in various waste gas adsorption equipment and serves as standard filter media for spray towers, activated carbon adsorption boxes and exhaust adsorption towers.

  • Organic waste gas purification: Purify tail gas from spraying workshops, plastic processing plants, printing factories and fine chemical workshops to efficiently adsorb VOCs, benzene, xylene, formaldehyde and other volatile organic pollutants.
  • Malodorous gas treatment: Eliminate peculiar smell for sewage stations, waste transfer stations, kitchen waste exhaust and livestock farms by adsorbing odor-causing substances such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia gas.
  • Boiler & industrial furnace flue gas treatment: Pre-treat flue gas from medium & small-sized boilers and smelting furnaces, adsorb organic volatile matters and odor components to help exhaust meet emission standards.

With regular granular shape and low pulverization rate, the product maintains stable wind resistance under high-air-volume operating conditions. It can be regenerated repeatedly to cut down long-term consumable cost for exhaust treatment.

2. Water Treatment

For advanced dechlorination, deodorization and trace organic matter removal in industrial wastewater, municipal tap water and reclaimed water reuse projects.

Q2:What’s the difference between different iodine value grades?

A:Iodine value represents micropore development of activated carbon:

- 1000~1100mg/g: Specially designed for high-concentration VOC exhaust from painting, printing and chemical industries with excellent small-molecule adsorption performance.

Q3:Does new activated carbon need pre-treatment before filling?

A:- For waste gas projects: Direct loading without pre-cleaning;

- For water treatment: Soak and flush with fresh water to remove surface fine powder to prevent pipeline clogging.

Q4:What is the service life? Can saturated carbon be regenerated?

A:Average service life: 2~6 months for waste gas treatment, 3~12 months for water treatment. With hardness over 95%, our coal pellet carbon can be thermally regenerated 3~5 times after saturation to cut clients’ long-term purchasing expense.
